When I’m not writing or at work, I can usually be found either with my nose in a book, parked in front of an action movie or up in my workshop where I do textile art and jewellery making.

If this was a dating site I’d be telling you right about now that I’m single and I’m a great cook (both true), but since it’s not I shall tell you instead that I am the perennial bridesmaid.  Always, always, always the bridesmaid.  Usually in a horrible dress.  At least no-one has made me wear peach so far.

I am an English woman (turns out I’m more than half Scottish!!) living in the far FAR north of Scotland.  Don’t ask how I got here.  It’s a long and twisted tale of betrayal, redundancy, heartache, romance and, ultimately, destiny.

As for the rest, well I guess you could say I’m a joyous soul.  My friends will tell you I’m very Zen.  I have this belief that everything happens for a reason and live my life as though it is too short, because it is.  You never know where your path will take you, so it’s better to flow with the music than swim against the tide.

I am an author of indeterminate youth, living in a land where the sun rarely shines but the mist makes everything magical. That would be Scotland. In fact, I live with Rivka in the far, frozen north.

I likes men and books, but don’t think either makes a great sandwich filling. Unmarried and living with other creative types (see above), I have a healthy relationship with my bed. I sleep around. In the middle, to the left, to the right, sometimes with my head at the foot.

I wish that writing was my day job, but sadly I have a large percentage of non-writing time, made bearable only by classic rock and lots of caffeinated things.

My favourite things are fan mail, good books, cake and men in kilts. I do not see these things as mutually exclusive.
